My first journey abroad was in 1980, when I was just 10 years old — a family holiday to sunny Spain with my parents and brother. That trip opened my eyes to the excitement of international travel, and I’ve never looked back.

Now, at 55, I consider myself well-travelled. I’ve ventured out solo — my first solo trip was at 21 — and I’ve shared unforgettable moments with friends on group holidays. Each journey has brought its own stories, laughter, and lessons. Like most seasoned travellers, I’ve collected a treasure trove of memories — some heartwarming, some hilarious, and all unforgettable.
